I really like this photo - the trees leading the eyes upward is very nice. But it appears as though the horizon is tilted - Did you take this photo on an incline and it's just my eyes messing with me? Anyways, I wish there were places like that around here I could take photos.

hard to tell Kevin. Yes, there is an incline, at the left side is a hill going straigh up and the ground is lowering from the left to the right. But the place where I stood is quite even.
The trees look tilted because of the wide angle lens but the center trees are vertical.
I don't know where your "tilted" feeling comes from, for sure I see this image with different eyes because I know the place in real.
This image was taken from exactly the same place in the opposite direction
